BBC to screen World Cup in HDTV

Philips Blu-ray TripleWriter SPD7000

Philips announced the Blu-ray Disc, DVD and CD writer for PCs at the CES 2006.

77% of respondents own an HDTV

77% of over 1,200 canadian Digital Home readers own an HDTV television.
Among respondents who owned an HDTV, the five most popular types were CRT or tube television at 22.5%, followed by CRT rear projection 19.4%, LCD 14.9%, DLP 14.4%, and LCD Rear Projection 13.8%.
