Vizio’s new “full-HD” 52-inch LCD rumored to sell at Costco next month will be a hit. A Vizio-branded full-HD LCD TV is expected in the North America market in August with the panels sourced from LG.Philips LCD. The price for the new model will stsrt at the US$2,200 and the TV will first be available in Costco.

The company plans to launch a 40-inch full HD LCD TV by the end of the year using panels adopting from S-LCD, a joint venture between Sony and Samsung Electronics, added the sources.

Vizio began shipping full HD 42- and 47-inch LCD TVs in the market during the first half of 2007. With the introduction of 40-inch TVs, the company aims to increase its market share in the 40/42-inch LCD TV combined segments.
