Sony introduce its first HD Video Walkman. The new Video Walkman able to view HDV and HD tapes, and featuring a seven-inch widescreen LCD monitor, HDV1080i and DV recording and playback, and iLINK and HDMI outputs.

Useful for viewing footage shot with a HDV or DV camcorder, Video Walkman can also record HDV1080i/DV signals from an external source, meaning it can be used as a back-up solution.

The widescreen LCD has a resolution of 1,152K (800×480x3 RGB) for video monitoring. It also features an All-Scan function which ensures that 100% of the recorded frame area can be displayed. Up to six LCD panel setups can be stored, and the on-screen position of the timecode can also be moved.
