Canon unveiled its new HG10 full high definition camcorder. Its currently the smallest HDV camcorder on the market.
It’s an AVCHD camcorder featuring a 40GB hard drive, 10x optical zoom lens, plus Canon’s Super Range Optical Image Stabilisation, and Instant auto-focus. It should offer around 5.5 hours of recording in high quality mode.
It’s equipped with a 2.7″ Widescreen Multi-Angle Vivid LCD, and features a new Navigation Control Dial on the LCD panel that enables users to access the menu more easily.
It’s due out in October with a price of $1299, and should be bundled with Corel’s AVCHD editing suite. It appears to share many of the same features of Canon’s HR10 HD camcorder.
