
Samsung has shown its first high definition digital camcorder, the VP-HMX10C. The new HD cam offering 720p recording and featuring a 2.7-inch high-resolution touch panel LCD screen. It features a 1/4.5″ CMOS image sensor, own brand lens, up to 10x optical zoom and 20x digital zoom, image stabilisation, minimum light for shooting of 15 Lux, 16:9 aspect ratio, 1,280 x 720 resolution, able to film 720p at 50fps as well as standard definition at 720 x 576/50p and built-in 8GB of memory.
The VP-HMX10C, along with Samsung’s two new standard definition camcorders (VP-MX10A, VP-DX10), will be available in the autumn, prices will be confirmed later.
