Panasonic's new Blu-ray recorders

Panasonic has unveiled its new line of Blu-ray recorders in Japan. The Blu-ray series is line of three recorders ??“ the BW700, BW800 and BW900, equipped with integrated hard drive storage from 250GB to 1TB (!!).

The Panasonic’s new Blu-ray recorders compress HD video at amazing rates, offering about 18 hours using a 50GB Blu-ray disc and up to an incredible 381 hours onto the 1TB hard drive.

All BD models can record to Blu-ray and DVD, support Full HD 1080p images using HDMI and feature i-Link for attaching other high-definition devices like cameras or camcorders.

There are no plans to release any of these models outside of Japan.
