LaCie has doubled burn speeds to 4x for its d2 Blu-ray Drive and has updated the case and software suite. The multi-format drive records, rewrites and reads 25GB or 50GB BD-R and BD-RE, as well as DVD-RW DL and CD-RW.
LaCie d2 Blu-ray has both Firewire 400 and USB 2.0 connections, and is available now for as low as $650.

Nice …now all we need is the media be at a resonable price. I think I saw the price was $25 for one blank BR?
