Barco announced its new DP-1200 projector. This giant projector weighing 205 lbs. It features a 2048 x 1080 resolution and a 2000:1 contrast ratio. This model comes with dual DVI inputs as well as dual SMPTE 292M inputs. The DP-1200 even has with a variety of optional lenses to choose from to help fit the projector to any theater. Barco highlighted that the DP-1200 was designed to reduce operating costs by having the projector only use 2kW to run and use a low wattage, 1.2kW lamp. The DP-1200 is currently available through Barco but no word about price has not been made public.
