Buffalo, Japan based company, has announced a new combo drive for Japan customers. The Buffalo combo drive is a external USB drive and can playback either HD format and it can burn BD-RE and BD-R discs as well.

LG cuts the price of its Super Multi Blu dual format player. The hybrid player that features both Blu-ray and HD-DVD drives has been reduced from $1,999 to $999.
