Unfortunately, mine was terrible. All the syrup was gone and boxes were covered around with sugar crystals. I tried several but only around half of them were dry and safe.

I first bought them in the airport in Rome and I was hooked! Had I known they would be so hard to find in the US I would have bought all they had!

I don't like that it takes so long to get them and that they can't give a better date for delivery, or at least a shorter time period for delivery however, but that's not the candy, that's the seller.

First you can't get this in the summer because they can't ship - it melts. The flavor is sooooooo goooooood. So I stock up. But it expires in just over a month.

The chocolates have a liquid Italian espresso sweetened and slightly thick centre with a layer of something crunchy maybe crystallized sugar , surrounded by semi-sweet chocolate.

If you can't eat it in one bite, make sure to keep the chocolate vertical as the espresso will spill out. These were shipped from Germany, and the carton was a bit crushed when it arrived, but the chocolates were in good shape.

Labeling is all in German. Best before date was pretty good. Almost 4 months, which is probably as good as you can get.

I tried to find these in Italy, but it was summertime and they were not available. These are only available during the winter as I was told, the heat of the summer will melt the chocolates , so you have to get them while you they are around.
